Turing Library was formed when the founding president, Reşit Saffet Atabinen, donated his personal collection to Touring and Touring has expanded its collection over the years. The Library, located in the central office, completed its cataloging studies in 2013 and has a rich collection of more than 15,000. It serves its readers between 08.30-17.00 five days a week.
In addition to reference books (brochures, general topics and encyclopedias) and periodicals, Touring Library includes books on many fields as tourism, social sciences, fine arts, literature and rhetoric, geography, philosophy, psychology, religious studies, language and linguistics, natural sciences, mathematics, technology, law and economics. The languages of the works are mainly French, Turkish, English, German and Ottoman Turkish. There are also many special books signed by their authors in the collection.
Before visiting the library, researchers should find out the fixture numbers of the works from the book catalog on Touring’s website and contact the Directorate of Culture, Arts and Projects by writing their research requests and book fixture numbers to turing.genclik@turing.org.tr contact address.
